Plastic, wax, plasticine clay, glazed ceramics, metals, fiberglass and polyurethanes are not porous and do not require a sealer. But if the model is permeable, it must be sealed appropriately before applying the release agent or silicone mold rubber. The sealer creates an effective barrier between the model and the mold making material.

Artists often use wax, paint and lacquer as sealers for their models. Clear acrylic sprays and alcohol-based sealers are available in art stores and do not interfere with the surface details of the model. Even sodium silicate is used as a sealer for plaster and concrete.

Water-soluble sealers are completely removable, while semi-permanent ones come off the model to quite an extent. The permanent ones will obviously stay on. In any case, it is better not to expect the model to return to its exact original form.

When applying the sealer, ensure proper coverage on the entire model or mold by using a brush. At times, multiple coats may be required. Solvent-based sealers need to be aired properly before applying the mold making material. In case, a sealer makes the model coarse, sand it down before moving ahead.

Your choice of release agent will depend on both the sealer and mold making/casting materials. Some sealers double up as a release agent too.

Logic tells us that if you want to change your body you must do something different from whatever it is that created the condition that now makes you unhappy. Instead of berating yourself for being out of shape or not meeting fitness goals, be understanding and kind and show yourself some love.

If you just want to exercise your respiratory system and burn some extra calories while relieving stress, you’ll do some aerobic exercise. But if you want to fundamentally change (improve) your metabolism you’ll include exercise that builds muscle, because muscle while at rest burns more calories than fat while at rest.

It’s safe to say that any amount of exercise (as little as 30 seconds) beats absolutely no exercise, provided it doesn’t lead to injury.

Regardless of how legit your excuses have been, there’s a way to exercise that can work for you. You need an opened mind to consider new choices. You need determination so that you won’t quit.

Men stress about what they can do or say to impress a woman enough to get her into bed. So they are frustrated when a date does not result in sex. Most women need time to develop an emotional connection before intercourse feels appropriate. But an experienced woman knows that any relationship with a man involves an on-going commitment of continuing to offer regular sex. So although it’s only one time, it’s usually the first time out of many. A man more or less assumes that the arrangement is on-going.

A wise man said “I try to keep my wife happy because I know that if she is happy she will keep me happy!” But if sex is so vital to men why are they forever getting it wrong? Heterosexual relationships involve a woman subjugating herself to a man in sexual terms and a man subjugating himself to a woman in emotional terms. So men sometimes prefer work to home where they feel disadvantaged by women’s emotional dominance.

You would think men who love women would always protect them. Yet it is straight men (not gay men) with their predilection for aggressive behaviour who disrespect others for being physically weaker. Heterosexual men may love women and they may be willing to support them but they only do this for women who offer them the regular sexual interaction men need. Women may even accept being beaten as natural if they love aggressive men. For most of human existence a woman’s survival has relied on having a man to protect her (mostly from other men). In return she was obliged to offer intercourse even though women commonly died during childbirth.

The dilemma is that a man relies on a woman to provide the significant pleasure of intercourse. The dilemma for a woman is her relative indifference to intercourse, which she has to provide regularly over decades. Rape is not related to male sex drive. Rape Crisis (UK) finds that “around 85% of survivors/victims know their attacker prior to the rape or assault and that often this violence is perpetrated by a partner or ex-partner.” Men who rape do so in order to dominate, control and humiliate others.

Most knowledgeable people acknowledge that theoretically, on paper at least, it is possible to travel back in time; back into the past. Some however say that this presents a logical contradiction. Then too there are all of those possible paradoxes that could theoretically arise. What follows arises out of my point of view in a debate I had with an “accidental meta-physician” which I’ve edited for, hopefully, sake of clarity.

Is Time Travel Possible or not Possible?

# If travel back in time is theoretically possible then travel back in time is theoretically possible – that’s logically self-evident. Time travel cannot both be theoretically possible and theoretically not possible with the same stroke of the pen. In any event, I’d even maintain that even meta-physicians see an actual example of time travel in the delayed double-slit experiment.

# If something CAN happen, then that something more likely as not WILL happen, sooner or later. Now travel in time back into the past might be in our too hard basket for thousands of years yet to come, maybe indefinitely if there are no benefits to be gained for the costs involved. But why restrict the scenario to humans? Perhaps an extraterrestrial civilization(s) millions, even billions of years in advance of ours has achieved this and turned time travel possibility into probability into actuality. Unless anyone can absolutely prove that time travel to the past is impossible, I wouldn’t bet against it having being achieved somewhere by someone at some time.

In the case of the delayed double-slit experiment, there is no alternative explanation to time travel other than that of Panpsychism. Interested readers can read up on what physicist John A. Wheeler thinks about it. The experiment was his doing.

# Time travel to the past is not logically contradictory if one can avoid the contradictory paradoxes that have been raised. There are ways and means of avoiding those paradoxes. Science fiction has paved the way by illustrating how that is possible in numerous novels and short stories. Now, can anyone prove that travel to the past is impossible in terms of the actual physics involved? If not, then time travel to the past is apparently theoretically possible: difficult, yes; but theoretically possible.

It was only theoretically possible to perform a heart transplant, but humans made it so.

It was just theoretically possible to pitch a perfect game in the World Series, but one human made it so.

It was only theoretically possible for humans to play God – but that too has come about.

Further theoretical ponderings that are now reality:

You can now fly around the world using just solar energy.

Humans wanted to turn lead into gold. Now it can be done.

Humans wanted to build the Pyramids, Stonehenge, the Great Wall of China, Petra, Machu Picchu and similar ancient engineering feats, and it came to pass.

The lesson to be learned here is not to ever, ever try to tell humans what they can or cannot do. Don’t sell humans short. If it theoretically can be done, and you have admitted that time travel is theoretically possible, and humans want to do it, it will be done. Or, in the words of Captain Jean-Luc Picard, “Make it so”.

# If time travel to the past (the future being another matter entirely) is a “logical self-contradiction” then travelling through time and into the past is not physically possible. Yet most acknowledge that time travel to the past is permitted in theoretical physics. Now that’s a contradiction! Something cannot both be possible and not be possible.

So here’s my FINAL word on the subject. If it (i.e. – time travel to the past) CAN be done and if humans WANT to do it badly enough regardless of the costs (social, political, economic, etc.) then sooner or later it WILL be done. End of story.
